History

The roots of Chequered Flag Motorsport can be traced back to March 19, 2000, when F1Crashes.net was launched. In 2001 the site became Chequered Flag Motorsport, and after a period of in-activity between 2003 and 2005, the site returned in early 2006. CFM is not about the latest news or testing times - it’s a “magazine” style site for fans of motorsport - both nostalgic and present-day.

FAQ

Q. Can I re-produce material posted on CFM?
A. As content is provided by a number of contributors, there is no single answer to this question. Most authors are more than happy for their work to be re-produced. The best option is to contact the editor.

Q. You have breached copyright - what now?
A. If you have any questions regarding the re-production of material on this site, please contact the editor, and the issue will be rectified. We are a non-profit website, everything here is in the spirit of “free-use”.

Q. How can I contribute?
A. We are always looking for contributions. All contributions will be credit and links provided. However we are not in a position to pay for material at this stage. We are happy to reproduce a selection of shots (usually 8-32) from nostalgic or contemporary events. We are happy to post articles about any element of motorsport. Articles should be 800 words+, and may undergo minor editing prior to publication. Once again, all expressions of interest should be directed to the editor.
